Despite the prevalence of trauma throughout life, older adults are often left out of trauma-responsive care discussions. This gap overlooks their experiences with events like Adverse Childhood Experiences, wars, discrimination, natural disasters, and more recent challenges such as food insecurity and housing instability. The Pathways Learning Network convened on Wednesday, October 30 and heard from three national experts explore strategies to ensure older adults and their caregivers are included in trauma-responsive policies and programs.
