Across the country, states have adopted a variety of structural models and positions appointed to address trauma and promote resilience among their residents. Some states have created trauma-informed taskforces or special commissions, often convened by the governor. Others have set up specialized cabinets or advisory councils that bring together leaders from multiple state agencies to foster a unified strategy. Some, like Vermont, have an independent official dedicated to leading state-level initiatives, providing technical and policy support, and ensuring a sustained focus on trauma and resilience. Join the State Leaders Learning Collaborative, hosted by Kheya Ganguly, Vermont’s Director of Trauma Prevention and Resilience Development, to learn about Vermont’s unique approach and to share about your state’s current system and initiatives.

The Learning Collaborative is a discussion-driven space, so please come prepared to ask questions and share your experiences with your colleagues across the country.
